Greetings from the beautiful, warm and sunny Cabo San Lucas!
PICANTE FISHING REPORT
 
This March has choppy seas and Marlin fishing was up and down, tought the days were full of good inshore fishing and dorado made up for those slower days.The best bait/lure was caballitos, mackerel and luresThe best fishing spots this March were: 95 spot and Faro on the Cortes side and the Golden Gate at the Pacific side.March Inshore fishing was good for Sierra, Yellowtail, Grouper and Snapper

During April and May, there may be Dorado, Swordfish and Striped marlin, plus early arriving of Yellowfin tuna as the crew say “Sopeton” Spring tunas, which are already beginning to be seen.

Picante Expresso the Cabo Express 31’ released 22 Striped marlin and boated 4 Skipjack, 1 Wahoo and 4 Mahi for the archive.The Ram Rod  Albermarle 31′ released 8 Striped marlin and 4 Mahi mahi.Picante Express, 32 ft Cabo Express released 18 Striped marlin weighing around 100-120 lbs, they also boated 6 nice Dorado a bunch of skipjacks and release 2 sharks.Salsa, Cabo Express 35′ released 18 Striped marlin and 4 sharks and landed a lots of Skipjacks for dinner.The 35’ Cabo Flybridge, Picante Dream released 15 Striped marlin around the 120-140 lb, 6 Mahi and a bunch of bonitas.

Picante Pride, Cabo Express 36 ft released 26 Striped marlin, boated 10 dorado, released 1 shark and they also loaded a bunch of Sierra for delicious ceviche.The Picante 40’ Tollycraft released 10 Striped marlin and they also boated 6 nice Dorado.

Picante 45, Cabo Express 45 ft released 24 Striped Marlin, landed 10 nice Dorado and released some sharks too.Caliente 45, Cabo Express 45 ft released 20 Striped marlin, they also landed 6 Dorado around 15-25 lb.Remember that you can always talk with your Captain in the morning before your fishing about your main target and the hot fishing spots in Cabo San Lucas to plan your day on the water!
