FISHING REPORT - May 2023 - Picante Sportfishing

Lots of Bull Dorado this May
 
May brought bright skies, better seas and good fishing, big Striped marlin and Bull Mahi numbers increasing, what are you waiting for? Summer fishing in Cabo is great!
The best bait/lure was live bait caballitos & mackerel and luresSome of the best fishing spots in Cabo waters this May were: 95 and 11:50 spotsInshore fishing was good for Roosterfish and Sierra.Enjoy the pictures!

Today’s Date: May 30th, 2023

PICANTE FLEET FISHING REPORT
 
The 31’ Cabo Express, Picante Expresso released 9 Striped marlin and landed a 17 Dorado.
The 32’ Cabo Express, Picante Express released 11 Striped marlin, 10 Dorado and some bonitas for sashimi.
Salsa, the Cabo Express 35’, had 10 Marlin released for the archive plus 6 Yellowfin tuna and 10 Dorado for the count. Thay released one Roosterfish also.
The 35’ Cabo Flybridge, Picante Dream, released 14 Striped marlin and landed 16 Dorado and some bonitas.
 
The average Striped marlin weight was 100 lb, with some big fatties of around 150 lb
Picante Pride, Cabo 36 ft, caught and released 15 Striped marlin and boated 8 Dorado, they also release a couple of Sharks.
The Picante 40’ Tollycraft released 12 Striped marlin also and boated 7 nice Dorado and 2 Yellowtail for dinner.

The 45’ Cabo Express Picante 45 released 16 Striped marlin, landed 10 Dorado, plus one Roosterfish and a bunch of bonitas.


Caliente 45, Cabo Express 45’ released 18 Striped marlin for the archive and boated 9 Dorado, some of them Bulls.

OCLTC DERBY
 
This month Picante Sportfishing were proud to receive the 76th Ocean City Light Tackle Club derby, the teams were fishing in choppy seas of early May but they had an incredible time, they had fun and they got excellent prizes fishing in the Marlin Capital, Congratulations to all the anglers!
