Billfishing continues in Cabo San Lucas Mexico and about the only change this past week was the fishing got much, much, better, even as the full moon phase came into play. The fish are concentrated directly out front of the Bay and you start trolling immediately and the fish are biting. It might be a Striped Marlin or if you have lucky you can caught a nice Wahoo. It’s fast action fishing and perfect for light tackle anglers. The inshore fishing, right along the coast, continues to be excellent for sierras and lots of bonitos, too. However, the billfish action is just way too good to pass up the incredible bite that seems to continue throughout the day.
Climate: Fabulous weather! Sunny & warm days with an occasional passing cloud.
Sea Conditions: Excellent throughout the area. Surface breezes are variable directions under 10 mph and the sea temp is holding stable at 76-61 degrees from inshore to offshore.
Best Fishing Area: Cabeza de Ballena starting at about a half-mile away.
Best Bait/Lure: Rigged baits are getting bit in a wide-open fashion and so are live bait fish being slow-trolled. Artificials are doing their fair share of catching too, as the fish are extraordinarily eager as they come into the trolling patterns.
