FISHING REPORT - April 2023 - Picante Sportfishing

April was up and down,slow with the Dorado and Striped marlin, but the inshore fishing kept us busy
The best bait/lure was live bait caballitos, mackerel and lures
The best fishing grounds this April were: 95 spot, 11:50 spot and Herradura
April inshore fishing produced lots of sierras, snapper, grouper and some Roosterfish.

The 32’ Cabo Express, Picante Express released 12 Striped marlin, 3 Dorado and some bonitas for sashimi.
Salsa, the Cabo Express 35’, had 6 Marlin released for the archive plus 2 Yellowfin tuna and 1 Dorado for the count.

Flybridge, Picante Dream, released 8 Striped marlin and landed 3 Dorado and 1 Yellowfin tuna.

Picante Pride, Cabo 36′ , released 8 Striped marlin and landed 2 Dorado and 3 Tuna, they also release a couple of Sharks.
The Picante 40’ Tollycraft released 8 Striped marlin also and boated 3 nice Dorado for dinner.




The average weight of the Dorado this April was around 15-20 lbs
The 45’ Cabo Express yacht, Picante 45 released 16 Striped marlin, landed 2 Dorado, plus a bunch bonitas.
Caliente 45, Cabo Express 45’ released 10 Striped marlin for the archive and boated 2 Dorado.
