Weekly Fishing Report:
With the exception of a large 200 + lb. Striped Marlin, this week was a lot of the same as last week. If you were wanting to have some fun and catch some fish it was more bottom fishing for the best results. There were a few who ventured out looking for the elusive Striped Marlin or Wahoo or Mahi Mahi and were again disappointed. There were a lot of small Tuna in front of the Arch but without sardines as your bait there were not biting. We were able on one occasion to run up to Santa Maria in the morning to get some sardines from the bait fisherman and had some great success on the “Express” our 32 ft. Cabo Express Sport Fisher but the bait was hard to acquire. We will see what this week brings, we are all waiting for the change to come and it is not a matter of if but when that will happen. As we all know fishing in Cabo can be amazing for those with patience.
Total Weekly Catch: | 61 Sierra, 16 Rooster Fish, a nice, very nice 200 + lb. Striped Marlin, 10 Trigger Fish, 8 Red Snapper,15 Tuna. |
