June 2021 Fishing report
June was a great month for Striped marlin and Yellowfin tuna, in addition good size Dorado were biting, our clients had delicious family dinners and some anglers took some nice tuna medallions to their homes to share with their families and friends.

The Sea of Cortez fishing grounds continued to be the most productive this month, particularly the area around the 11:50 spot. The best bait/lure was Caballito live and dead.
At the end of June our crews reported sightings of Blue marlin, actually the Picante 40’ crew had a big blue marlin bite. Striped Marlin activity is a norm down here and it will continue with Black and Blue marlin through the season.

31’ CABO Express Picante Expresso released 12 Striped marlin weighing around 110-125 lb, they were lucky to release a beautiful specimen of Sailfish, and also boated 10 nice Yellowfin tuna, 2 Dorado and 1 Roosterfish.
Usually the Yellowfin tuna are 25 or 30 miles away from Cabo coast, but this past June we were surprised with the entry of the yellowfin tuna around the 15-20 miles, they are strong swimmers and give us anglers a good fight when they try to reel them. Their size and deliciousness makes them a good trophy for the experts and sashimi lovers.
During summer we get a large number of Dorado and Yellowfin, making July a good month for targeting some of Cabo’s most popular game fish. If you’re looking for incredible Marlin and Dorado fishing, give us a call so we can hook you up with one of our experienced Captains.
The 32’ Cabo Express, Picante Express released 13 Striped marlin, 3 dorado for dinner and 1 Roosterfish by the Pacific side. They found a nice school of dolphin and picked away all the yellowfin tunas around 15 to 40 lb.
Picante Dream the 35’ Cabo Flybridge with Captain Pablo, released 12 striped Marlin, got 4 Mahi and landed 10 tuna more for the count.
Salsa, our mint CABO Express 35’ had a productive yellowfin tuna month with 15 football tunas aboard, plus 10 Striped Marlin released for the archive, a bunch of bonitas and 2 Dorado for the count.
Picante Pride, Cabo Express 36 ft released 16 Striped marlin and 20 Yellowfin. Captain Juan Ramon and deckhand Pedro were successfully participating in the 2021 Stars & Stripes tournament where they obtained Striped marlin, yellowfin and an amazing Sailfish.
Our Picante 40’ Tollycraft released 10 Striped marlin more for the archive and landed 11 Tuna and 2 dorado too.
The Picante 45, 45’ Cabo Express yacht released 18 Striped Marlin, landed 10 yellowfin tuna, plus 3 dorado for the plate. Captain David and deckhand Hugo were also participating in the Pelagic Triple Crown tournament and in the 2021 Stars & Stripes winning in the latter the Wahoo jackpot.
Caliente 45, Cabo Express 45’ released 13 Striped marlin for the archive, boated 15 Yellowfin tuna for and 4 Mahi for tacos!
