Cabo San Lucas Fishing Report October 29th, 2019

Daily Fishing Report:

Another great tournament month in Cabo San Lucas we had three successful tournament Los Cabos Billfish tournament, Bisbee’s Offshore and the biggest and oldest tournament the 39th Annual Bisbee’s Black & Blue tournament.

Los Cabos Billfish tournament team “El Suertudo” won 1st place, this tournament produce 62 Billfish released.

Then with The Bisbees Offshore a local team “Marlin” won 1st place 468 lb Black Marlin.

And finally we had Bisbee´s Black and Blue tournament with 126 teams the first place was for the team “Tranquilo” 577 lb Blue Marlin  they won around 4.1 dollars, second place was for “True Grit” 498 Black Marlin and “Wild Hooker” 466 lb Black Marlin.

Now next tournament the “Cabo Tuna Jackpot” is the tuna tournament November 6th- 9th, 2019 and we will keep in touch with all the news on this tournament.

The boats averaged at least two to three bites per day and many boats were returning after releasing several marlin or sailfish with the bonus of catching several dorados close to shore.

San Jaime Bank produced some great marlin catches, and Blue Marlin were reported of the San Jaime and Golden Gate. Also Cerritos seemed to be the spot for the double-digit billfish hookups. The Yellowfin were reported by la Herradura also at San Jaime and Golden Gate Bank.

Wahoo was slowed but we have a very good luck and Express 32ft CABO Express caught a very nice 45 lbs.

Two days ago Picante Dream our 35ft Flybridge had a phenomenal day with a team of 4 anglers in a full day charter they released 7 Striped Marlin the first day and on the second day the released 5 more Striped Marlin.

Dream had a total of 21 Striped Marlin and 1 Sailfish all of them released, and they boated 10 Dorados.

Then Express 32ft CABO Express released 7 Striped Marlin by San Jaime in one day in a full day charter, they released a total of 18 Striped Marlin and boated 12 Dorados, 2 Tunas and 1 Wahoo.

Expresso our 31ft CABO Express released 10 Striped Marlin and boated 6 Dorados and 6 Tunas.

Caliente 45 our red 45ft CABO Express released a total of 9 Striped Marlin and boated 18 Tunas and 3 Dorados.

Picante 45 our blue 45ft CABO Express released 1 Blue Marlin, 1 Sailfish and 6 Striped Marlin and boated 4 Dorados.

Salsa our 35ft CABO Express released 2 Blue Marlin, 5 Striped Marlin and boated 7 Dorados and 5 Tunas.

Cisco a 35ft CABO Express released 7 Striped Marlin and boated 1 Dorado.

Picante Pride a 36ft CABO Express they caught 4 Striped Marlin releasedand boated  3 Tunas and 1 Dorado.

Cabo Fishing in November

Cabo Fishing in November is excellent, with fantastic weather and many sought after species in high availability. We see a continuation of the great fall fishing season, with tons of billfish and smaller gamefish in the water. Sailfish Fishing in Cabo San Lucas

If you like to angle for something fast, there’s nothing better than sailfish fishing in Cabo. A member of the billfish family, sailfish can be distinguished by their large dorsal fin that resembles a boat&rsquos sail. While their marlin cousins are physically stronger, the sailfish are known for their super speeds and can swim over 65 miles per hour. They also will put up a huge fight and get out of the water to do aerial jumps and flips on the line. Sailfish are physically striking, growing up to ten feet and typically weigh 120 pounds. If you get the chance to pull one in, make sure to get a photo to remember this Cabo fishing favorite. Sailfish are one of the most popular choices for Cabo fishing in November, so if you&rsquore interested this is a great month to come out.

Wahoo Fishing in Cabo San Lucas

Cabo has some of the best wahoo fishing in the world! The waters of Cabo San Lucas attract a high volume of wahoo to the area, and November is a great time to target these popular fish. They&rsquore distinguished by their elongated body and white stripes. Wahoo can be found closer to shore, usually on their own but sometimes in large groups if there are good feeding conditions. When you get one on the line, be prepared for their aggressive first run, which comes with their speedy 60 mile per hour swimming. An added perk to catching a wahoo is getting to try it fresh, they are fished commercially and are quite popular.

Dorado Fishing in Cabo San Lucas

Fishing in Cabo in November often includes dorado. Dorado, Spanish for “golden” in reference to their iridescent skin, is an angler favorite for fall fishing. They grow to be an average of 25 pounds and three feet in length. Dorado are known for their unique and beautiful appearance, featuring a tall dorsal fin and mesmerizing color. To get one hooked up, toss some live bait when you spot some frigate birds. They love Cabo San Lucas in November because they are successful at feeding the waters. You may find them in schools, and mixing with other fish like yellowfin tuna.

Tuna Jackpot Tournament

What’s Next in Cabo San Lucas this October?

October is a highly anticipated month by many in Cabo, since it is the official start of the high season. In addition to the great Cabo fishing tournaments (internal link), like the Bisbee’s Black and Blue and Los Cabos Billfish Tournament, October brings the athletics competitions to the Land’s End, like the Trail Run Zacatitos half Marathon, the distances of this competition are: 21 km, 10 km, 5 km, 3 km, and 3 km Trail Run  for kids. This fun event takes place on October 6 in El Encanto de la Laguna, Camino Cabo de Este, San José del Cabo.

Gastronomy Lovers Rejoice!

Gastronomy lover? October 19th through 26th is the San José del Cabo Restaurant Week, a culinary celebration dedicated to highlighting the extensive gastronomy of the Los Cabos region.

It’s a great chance to get out there and experience some great local dishes you won’t find anywhere else.

November in Cabo San Lucas

November is a great month in Los Cabos, hosting one of the most important gastronomic festivals in Mexico and the renowned triathlon IROMAN. Los Cabos will provide Ironman 70.3 athletes with a 2.4-mile swim in crystal clear blue and turquoise waters in the Sea of Cortes, followed by a 112-mile bike ocean view course and a 26.2-mile run course that travels along the tourist corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, this world famous competition will be held on November 3, 2019.

Many anglers and Cabo visitors combine fishing days with Golf, so what better than playing golf for a good cause. Casa Hogar Charity Golf Tournament FORE will take place on Saturday, November 9th in Palmilla Golf Club and all proceeds go to Casa Hogar children in need.

The 4th annual El Triunfo Gastronomic Festival will be held in November 16, 2019, this is a cozy culinary event that takes place in the town of El Triunfo. Many wineries and local restaurants will participate to benefit the architectural rescue of the historic mining town.

For movie lovers we have the Los Cabos International Film Festival held each November, this year it will be held from 13th-17th. The annual festival has a wide and multicultural cinematic billboard this year will have a special focus on Mexican, American and Canadian film culture.

Sabor a Cabo is the most important annual gastronomic celebration in Los Cabos where local restaurants (more than 60), chefs, and wineries merge. The event is a sophisticated, fun and surprising concert night in Los Cabos  to benefit of the Firefighters, Red Cross and Los Cabos Children Foundation. This 2019 the festival will take place on November 30.

The 26th Annual Baja Ha-Ha Cruisers Rally from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas will take place on November 3rd-16th, 2019. Welcome to Cabo once again sailing friends!

We start with “Los Cabos Bill fish Tournament” on October 14th, 15th and 16th. , the we continue with the Little Bisbees  “Los Cabos offshore”on October 18th & 19th and we close the tournaments on October with our big party “The Bisbees Black and Blue Tournament” on October 23rd, 24th, and 25th .

But if you just want to come and have a great day with an awesome memories you’re your family or friends October and November it’s a great time to come and fish in Cabo.

Last week our two larger boats “Picante 45” and “Caliente 45” have an awesome week Caliente 45 our 45ft CABO Express got 13 Striped Marlin and 1 Blue Marlin all successfully caught and released on the Pacific side and boated 6 Dorados and 14 Tunas two of the were like a monsters over180 lbs and other one over 140 lbs by Sea of Cortez side.

Picante 45 our blue 45ft CABO Express was not the exception this week and got 14 Striped Marlin released and boated 4 Dorados by the Pacific side.

Express a 32ft CABO Express one of our faster boats have a wonderful week as well they released 18 Striped Marlin and 1 Sailfish and also boated 9 Dorados by the Pacific side.

Picante Pride our 36ft CABO Express released 12 Striped Marlin and boated 6 Dorados by the pacific side too.

Salsa our nice 35ft CABO Express have a great week to with our friends from Colorado they have two awesome day and they released 7 Striped Marlin and boated 6 dorados and with and other happy customer they got 11 Dorados more.

Cisco our 35ft CABO Express have a happy anglers from Texas they released 3 Striped Marlin and boated 11 Dorados by Sea of Cortez side.

Expresso our 31ft CABO Express boated 11 Dorados all of them in the Sea of Cortez.

Picante Dream our 35ft Flybridge it’s not an exception and boated 24 Dorados while fishing in the Sea of Cortez by Migriño and released 2 Striped Marlin.
