Daily Fishing Report:
The marlin bite remained strong over the weekend. The Bisbee East Cape Tournament was held late last week and the big fish of the tourny was a 581 lb. Black Marlin caught on "DREAM WEAVER". TEAM PICANTE !!!! spent the day with Steve & Karla Luptak from Wisconsin on our 35' Cabo Express " CISCO" with Captain Jose "Mocho" Nunez at the helm and deckhand Ricardo working the cockpit. 18 miles due south of Lands End the porpoise schools were everywhere and the Yellowfin Tuna were feeding beneath the schools. We could have caught all we wanted, but after 8 were in the boat we went looking for marlin. About 11:00 am a nice Blue Marlin about 250 lbs. hit the port side outrigger and after about 20 minutes the fish was released boatside to fight again. An hour later a Striped Marlin showed in the pattern and a live bait was dropped back and the Stripey was hungry. A 10 minute battle was all it took to get the estimated 150 lb. fish boatside and released to fight another day. A great day was had by all.....and a delicious dinner of marinated tuna capped the day. Cabo Fishing at it's best !!!
