In 1994, during the first day of the Bisbee Black and Blue Marlin Tournament, Phil Gentile and his team on their 40' Tolleycraft named "Picante" boated a record 993 lb. Pacific Blue Marlin winning a cash prize of $300,000.00 and a brand new 35' Cabo Yacht, which was offered to any team weighing a fish more than 750 lbs. That year Mr. Gentile associated himself with CABO Yachts and formed Picante Sportfishing.
Twelve years later, Picante now owns and operates a fleet of 18 Yachts, all of which are CABO Yachts.
In these twelve years we have competed in all of the tournaments held here in Cabo San Lucas with total cash earnings of $ 3,111,174.00 USD.
Not only are we also the Mexico Dealer for CABO Yachts, Picante Sportfishing has also expanded to become a yacht charter, yacht sales, yacht brokerage and yacht management company.
Our main goal here at Picante has been and always will be to offer the finest and most luxurious fishing vessels combined with highly experienced and bilingual crews and, most important, genuine quality customer service!
